Star Wars VS Eragon ( The Movie Not The Book)

Over the years, the plots of movies have entered an endless cycle which is constantly repeating itself. There are a lot of example of this. The Pocahontas/ Avatar argument is well known. Below is such a comparison which I have done between the two movies: Star Wars and Eragon.
A long time ago in some place that only exists in our imaginations the Emperor's dark servant, (Darth Vader/ Durza) and his (Storm Troopers/ Urgals) attack (Princess Leah/ Arya) and her convoy because (Princess Leah/ Arya) stole (secret plans/ dragon egg). (Darth Vader/ Durza) and his (Storm Troopers/ Urgals) take out the convoy and capture (Princess Leah/ Arya) but not before she manages to send the (secret plans/ dragon egg) somewhere out of (Darth Vader's/ Durza's) reach.

In an unimportant village in the (desert/ mountains), A young man named (Luke Skywalker/ Eragon) finds the (secret plans/ egg) in the form of (two droids/ a magical explosion). (Luke Skywalker/ Eragon) with the help of the crazy old man who turns out to be his guardian, (Ben Kenobi/ Brom), discovers a power within him and decides to learn the ways of the (Force/ Dragon Riders). Soldiers come and kill (Luke's/ Eragon's) Uncle (and aunt) and burn down the house. The two men set off to take the (secret plans/ Dragon) to the rebellion.(Ben/ Brom) sacrifices himself in a (lightsaber duel/ sword fight) with (Darth Vader/ Durza) but (Luke/ Eragon) gets away and rescues (Princess Leah/ Arya) thanks to his new friend (Han Solo/ Murtagh).

They set a course for the Rebel Base at (Yavin IV/ Farthen Dur) and plans begin for a battle between the good guys and the bad guys. (Luke/ Eragon) fights aboard his (X-Wing Fighter/ Dragon). (Han Solo/ Murtagh) does not fight at the beginning of the battle but comes through in the end. The Rebels decimate the Imperial Troops and everyone is happy.

The End

In the end, it is almost impossible to escape the constant repeating of plots in the movie industry. However, if you were to think about it, what matters isn't necessary the base plot, but how all of the different elements are arranged and used in making that plot come to life in a believable way

Get Committed

Disturbed's new album, Asylum, hit stores on August 31,2010. Fans could choose from the standard edition at $15.00 or the Limited edition at $20.00. The limited edition in the stores came with 2 bonus tracks, live versions of "Stricken" and "Down With the Sickness", as well as bonus dvd. The DVD had on it an hour long documentary, A Decade Of Disturbed, and several tutorials on how to play some of the group's songs. The iTunes version of the Limited edition contained only two tutorials and no documentary. However, did contain an extra bonus track, "Leave It Alone". Getting the iTunes version might be the better idea if you don't care about having an actual CD because it is like going back to Ten Thousand Fists where you have thirteen new songs and one remake.

The album as a whole was great. It is proof that Disturbed's music is continuing to evolve. I especially impressed from the way "Remnants" flowed into into the album's cover song, "Asylum". I am a huge Boston fan so this reminded me of the album, Third Stage. I'd like to see Disturbed do this in the future. The least mind-blowing track on this album is "Warrior". Maybe this is just me but seeing as how we just had "Indestructable" on the last album. Even so "Warrior" does stand apart from "Indestructable" in a good many ways. Where as "Indestructable had an air that mirrored the human nature to fight and wage war, the stance taken in "Warrior" seems to be from a percent who actually delights in war. With this in mind, it is not so surprising that someone has already made and AMV combining this song with the anime, Helsing.

Probably the most profound song in this album is "Never Again". Everyone should no by now that the lead singer of Disturbed is Jewish, although he denies being religious. Religious or not, anyone with that lineage is going to revere the holocost. How can you not be jewish and not get angry when someone treats it as a trivial matter or even says(And this does happen people) that there never was a holocost. For those of us who can't understand this anger, think about when someone told you that 9/11 never happened. Now combine that with the fact that Washington wants to let the Muslims build a mosque on Ground Zero. (Before I go any further, I would like to make it clear that I harbor no hatred for Islamic People in general, I just think that it would be extremely innapropriate and inconsiderate to build a mosque on that specific spot.) The song "Never Again" is Draiman striking back at those who take away from the significance of the Holocost. the below video is the song "Never Again."

Sims 3: Success Or Major FAIL

Well we have all gotten a chance to play the Sims 3 in these past few months. By now we are all probably wondering the same thing. Did we get screwed? Well to be honest I think that the game was missing a lot. The Sims 3 took a great deal of the fun features in the Sims 2 and threw them out the window. For instance, I don't like the fact that I cannot build my own restaurants and control the sims inside of the restaurants. That was a major social center in the Sims 2. The community lots in the Sims 3 are not as exciting. So far there are no "hang out" areas. Sure the idea of centering the nieghborhood around a park was kinda cool, but a park doesn't cut it when you had so much more in the Sims 2.
The rewards system in the sims three was disapointing to me. I think that the idea of making the sim not have to go to the bathroom sounds like a good idea. However I would much rather the bonus make it so that the sim does not have to go to the bathroom as much. The way the aging set up screws up the game as well. See that one reward in the Sims 2 that nade your sims cut back on age was great. I don't like the fact that you can't have kids grow up without getting old. It annoys me.
One thing we should all remember is that the majority of us Sims 2 players had almost all of the expansion packs to the Sims 2. That meant we had a whole lot added on since the game originally came out. So this game is still in the pre-expansion age. There is an expansion pack coming out in November for the Sims 3. The expansion is called: The Sims 3: World Adventures. Your sims will be able to take vacations in China, France, and Egypt. I think I'm gonna miss mountains and beach. This expansion will come with many items, I am sure. Also I have heard that there will be a 1000 sim points bonus with the game. The only reason for them to do this is for them to release special content exclusively for that expansion. By the way if your complaints are mainly about decoration objects and such, then I suggest you check out the Sims 3 online store where you can buy objects with sim points. Let me tell you, it is a better idea to buy a whole pack than to buy parts of it separately. So buy the whole pack because it will usually cost you half as much.
I believe the reason that we were ticked off with the Sims 3 was because most of us were expecting the Sims 2 with upgrades. The truth is that the Sims 3 is a completely new game, with new good points. I am so relieved that I no longer have to wait through a bunch of loading screens to get to a community lot. I'm also glad my sims can go see a movie or go to a concert. There are a lot of good things about the Sims 3. It just might take some time to find them all.
