A New Direction

Okay I know I have been talking about doing this for a while, for all of you who know me personally, but I have finally decided to do it. I am going to start writing on this blog on a weekly basis, even if it is just a short post. I'm going to do it. And, if I get enough of a following from my former fans....I might bring back she short lived youtube show. It will be different sure, but I won't be able to bring it back without feedback from you, the readers/viewers.

Now what exactly did I mean by "A New Direction"? Well I am going to be making a few diferences in how I approach this blog. For those of you who don't know me personally, I am a conservative Christian. Now those of you on the other side of the fence who kept on reading bravo. I know the reputation conservative Christians have. It is not an accurate dipiction of all of us. In fact, it doesn't fit a lot of us. For example, if your view of conservative Christians is based soley on the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church, then you really need to go out and meet some conservative CHRISTIANS. Most of us don't condone the actions and teachings of those people. In fact, we probably don't like them any more than you do. Now I have views on what is right and what is wrong that are far from popular but I don't force that on people. And if there is someone who doesn't agree with me then I really don't care. It's their life, their opinion, their worldview. Good for them. I will treat anyone I meet like a human being, and not just the bare minimum either. One of my best friends is an atheist. I will not only be kind to people who don't agree with my worldview I will befriend them if they will let me.

This "New Direction" I am taking will explore this idea of differing opinions and how two sides deal with two opinions. Let me warn you, It is very possible that I will piss off both sides. If you see me on the street and want to address something I said on here, please approach me civilly If you start of angry and such then I am probably going to tune you out and keep on walking.

I will continue to do some of the same old things that I have always done on here such as movie reviews and random articles. Hopefully people will read the blog. Hopefully we will have some fun conversations in the comments. And everyone remember, the only time some one is ignorant is when they will not listen to both sides of the story or at least give both sides their moment to speak

ALL RIGHT! Resident Evil Retribution came out last Friday and I have to say that it was pretty freaking awesome. I went to see at the IMAX in 3D and it was just great. The opening was probably one of the best moments. Retribution actually starts off right where Afterlife left off. Alice and her compatriots are on the Arcadia and Umbrella attacks. It is actually horrifyingly ironic because moments before, Alice had just sent out that message offering shelter on the Arcadia. then five minutes later the ship is just completely destroyed.

One thing that I have noticed about these movies is that they are increasingly becoming less about the infected and more about just how evil Umbrella is. Luckily this one has much more zombie killing in it than Afterlife did. However, creepy corridor moments are not in abundance. What is really surprising is the Mastermind Villain. Better watch all four movies before you go to see this one. It helps.

The 3D is actually very well done. They pull one stunt from Afterlife but aside from that very original.

The ending is a cliff hanger, not as bad as afterlife, so there will be a sixth Resident Evil movie. Can't freaking wait.

Two Thumbs up for Resident Evil: Retribution.

Star Wars VS Eragon ( The Movie Not The Book)

Over the years, the plots of movies have entered an endless cycle which is constantly repeating itself. There are a lot of example of this. The Pocahontas/ Avatar argument is well known. Below is such a comparison which I have done between the two movies: Star Wars and Eragon.
A long time ago in some place that only exists in our imaginations the Emperor's dark servant, (Darth Vader/ Durza) and his (Storm Troopers/ Urgals) attack (Princess Leah/ Arya) and her convoy because (Princess Leah/ Arya) stole (secret plans/ dragon egg). (Darth Vader/ Durza) and his (Storm Troopers/ Urgals) take out the convoy and capture (Princess Leah/ Arya) but not before she manages to send the (secret plans/ dragon egg) somewhere out of (Darth Vader's/ Durza's) reach.

In an unimportant village in the (desert/ mountains), A young man named (Luke Skywalker/ Eragon) finds the (secret plans/ egg) in the form of (two droids/ a magical explosion). (Luke Skywalker/ Eragon) with the help of the crazy old man who turns out to be his guardian, (Ben Kenobi/ Brom), discovers a power within him and decides to learn the ways of the (Force/ Dragon Riders). Soldiers come and kill (Luke's/ Eragon's) Uncle (and aunt) and burn down the house. The two men set off to take the (secret plans/ Dragon) to the rebellion.(Ben/ Brom) sacrifices himself in a (lightsaber duel/ sword fight) with (Darth Vader/ Durza) but (Luke/ Eragon) gets away and rescues (Princess Leah/ Arya) thanks to his new friend (Han Solo/ Murtagh).

They set a course for the Rebel Base at (Yavin IV/ Farthen Dur) and plans begin for a battle between the good guys and the bad guys. (Luke/ Eragon) fights aboard his (X-Wing Fighter/ Dragon). (Han Solo/ Murtagh) does not fight at the beginning of the battle but comes through in the end. The Rebels decimate the Imperial Troops and everyone is happy.

The End

In the end, it is almost impossible to escape the constant repeating of plots in the movie industry. However, if you were to think about it, what matters isn't necessary the base plot, but how all of the different elements are arranged and used in making that plot come to life in a believable way

Get Committed

Disturbed's new album, Asylum, hit stores on August 31,2010. Fans could choose from the standard edition at $15.00 or the Limited edition at $20.00. The limited edition in the stores came with 2 bonus tracks, live versions of "Stricken" and "Down With the Sickness", as well as bonus dvd. The DVD had on it an hour long documentary, A Decade Of Disturbed, and several tutorials on how to play some of the group's songs. The iTunes version of the Limited edition contained only two tutorials and no documentary. However, did contain an extra bonus track, "Leave It Alone". Getting the iTunes version might be the better idea if you don't care about having an actual CD because it is like going back to Ten Thousand Fists where you have thirteen new songs and one remake.

The album as a whole was great. It is proof that Disturbed's music is continuing to evolve. I especially impressed from the way "Remnants" flowed into into the album's cover song, "Asylum". I am a huge Boston fan so this reminded me of the album, Third Stage. I'd like to see Disturbed do this in the future. The least mind-blowing track on this album is "Warrior". Maybe this is just me but seeing as how we just had "Indestructable" on the last album. Even so "Warrior" does stand apart from "Indestructable" in a good many ways. Where as "Indestructable had an air that mirrored the human nature to fight and wage war, the stance taken in "Warrior" seems to be from a percent who actually delights in war. With this in mind, it is not so surprising that someone has already made and AMV combining this song with the anime, Helsing.

Probably the most profound song in this album is "Never Again". Everyone should no by now that the lead singer of Disturbed is Jewish, although he denies being religious. Religious or not, anyone with that lineage is going to revere the holocost. How can you not be jewish and not get angry when someone treats it as a trivial matter or even says(And this does happen people) that there never was a holocost. For those of us who can't understand this anger, think about when someone told you that 9/11 never happened. Now combine that with the fact that Washington wants to let the Muslims build a mosque on Ground Zero. (Before I go any further, I would like to make it clear that I harbor no hatred for Islamic People in general, I just think that it would be extremely innapropriate and inconsiderate to build a mosque on that specific spot.) The song "Never Again" is Draiman striking back at those who take away from the significance of the Holocost. the below video is the song "Never Again."

Ipods: What Are They Now

The other day I saw this television commercial for the Ipod Touch. It said "The Funnest Ipod". I'm not even going to address the grammatical errors here. This message brought me to realize that the Ipod Touch isn't really an mp3 player; but instead, it is a miniature mac computer. The music is just a secondary application. Normally when I see someone using an Ipod Touch they aren't listening to music. The person is either playing a game, watching a video on youtube, or checking facebook. Now I don't own an Ipod Touch so I don't know if you can listen to music while using these applications. I do know that using an Ipod Touch is alot more convenient and inconspicuous for playing games and browsing the internet in class. I see it all the time. Now, I can't say that if I had one I wouldn't be tempted to do the same. Far from it. I am one of the most easily tempted people I know.

TRANSFORMERS: Revenge Of The Fallen

Well the day has finally come. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is finally out on DVD and Blu-Ray. The movie was one of the most anticipated films of the summer along with Star Trek and Terminator: Salvation. I have to say that I was not disapointed in the epic battle between Optimus and the Fallen or the forest battle between Optimus and all the Decepticons. I was annoyed however by the lack of attention Arcee, Elita One, Chromia, Sideswipe, and Jolt got in this movie. I mean Arcee and Elita One were major characters in The Transformers. Arcee was one of the main characters in the 1986 film and seasons 3 and 4. Plus, wasn't Elita One Optimus's Equal in rank. Don't just take names and not give them their due. I did think that the idea to have Arcee as a motorcycle was a good move though.

I thought that the twins, Mudflap and Skids, were funny. However, the attention that they recieved in the movie was horrendous. At times I wondered if Ironhide or Rachet had been killed. They should have given the NEST team more screentime.

The Autobot Matrix of Leadership. We all know what it is right? "But one day, an Autobot shall rise up from our ranks and use the power of the Matrix to light our darkest hour."- Optimus Prime, Transformers: The Movie(1986). In this movie the Matrix was a key to a weapon of mass destruction. In both movies it played a major role and the idea was to keep it out of the hands of the Decepticons. In both movies Optimus dies. In however in this movie Optimus comes back. And before I forget, I think they did a relatively good job with the Matrix of Leadership.

Ok this is not necessarily a complaint but more of a hindsight issue. They had Megatron brought back to life, which is cool because that is paying tribute to just about every Transformers series known to man. However, Why did they not take the oppertunity to rename him Galvatron? I mean, you could have easily given that nod to thousands of G1 fans. Sorry Armada fans, you don't count, and if you want to know why then go watch the 1986 film. It's alot better than what you saw in Transformers: Armada because you actually get an explanation for the name change.

That's all for now. The movie did not disapoint me in the theaters. And now I am trying to find time to pick up my special edition of the movie.

Dragon Fable: A Game Worth Trying.

We need more MMORPGs that have at least %70 of the game free and then everything else is VIP territory. Dragon Fable is one of those games. It's the kind of game that you play on a rainy day. It's something to do, and the extra special content only costs a one time payment of $20.00. The game has a very passive, turn-based combat style. When you engage in combat with one of the creatures in the game you see a screen with you and the creature facing eachother. When i is your turn you see a series of 17 buttons along the bottom of the screen. Each of these buttons stand for a different move. Two of the buttons are potions. One is for restoring health while the other is for restoring mana(magic). The center, and also the largest button is for a basic attack. The remaining fourteen are special moves which can be unlocked very easily. However, half of the special moves can only be used by amulet owners. These special moves very from armor to armor.

Many of the quest lines are spoofs from other stories. For instance I am in the middle of a new questline called Wanderland. I'll give you a moment to get it. Just to be fair it's a questline open only to Amulet owners. There are also single quests that rip off several pop culture characters at once.

Amulet only priveledges:
-Owning Houses
-Use of Certain Items
-Use Of Dragons
-Use of certain Pets
-Entrance into certain areas.
-Certain Quests are for Amulet Owners Only.

You Have Got To Be Kidding me

I am a big fan of the Far Cry franchise, as most of you already know. I love to spend hours building maps on the map editor. The map editor in Far Cry 2 was paradise for me. I originally had the game for Xbox 360. I spent time downloading cool maps and exploring them and getting new ideas for how to do things in building my own maps. There was this one guy who pretty much owned the top ranked maps page. The name was BorromirKane I believe. He had these awesome Lord Of the Rings maps that were just mind-blowing.

Anyway, over the summer I purchased Farcry 2 for my PC. Last night, I was looking at the map share. I typed in phrases that usually got loads of responses but I didn't get any thing. I finally found these maps for Helms deep. Each one looked horrible. I was having a hard time seeing the resemblence. Then I went looking for a Minas Tirith map. I only found one. It was worse than the Helms Deep maps. It was as if these people hadn't even seen the movies.

Now my logic when I bought I PC copy of Far Cry 2 was that the map editor would allow me to be more accurate. I was right. Then Explain To Me Why Someone Was Able To Build What Was Almost An Exact Replica Of The Citadel Courtyard Of Minas Tirith On Xbox But On The PC Version Of The Game, ALL I FOUND WAS @**&@&^@&&!(@!^*&@!&@(*&&!^(*^&^(&*(^%%##@%$^$%*&^$$#&^(*&()*()&*(^*&%^&%*%#&%#$#^%$%^#$@#$#@$#@&%#$#@$#.

Sims 3: Success Or Major FAIL

Well we have all gotten a chance to play the Sims 3 in these past few months. By now we are all probably wondering the same thing. Did we get screwed? Well to be honest I think that the game was missing a lot. The Sims 3 took a great deal of the fun features in the Sims 2 and threw them out the window. For instance, I don't like the fact that I cannot build my own restaurants and control the sims inside of the restaurants. That was a major social center in the Sims 2. The community lots in the Sims 3 are not as exciting. So far there are no "hang out" areas. Sure the idea of centering the nieghborhood around a park was kinda cool, but a park doesn't cut it when you had so much more in the Sims 2.
The rewards system in the sims three was disapointing to me. I think that the idea of making the sim not have to go to the bathroom sounds like a good idea. However I would much rather the bonus make it so that the sim does not have to go to the bathroom as much. The way the aging set up screws up the game as well. See that one reward in the Sims 2 that nade your sims cut back on age was great. I don't like the fact that you can't have kids grow up without getting old. It annoys me.
One thing we should all remember is that the majority of us Sims 2 players had almost all of the expansion packs to the Sims 2. That meant we had a whole lot added on since the game originally came out. So this game is still in the pre-expansion age. There is an expansion pack coming out in November for the Sims 3. The expansion is called: The Sims 3: World Adventures. Your sims will be able to take vacations in China, France, and Egypt. I think I'm gonna miss mountains and beach. This expansion will come with many items, I am sure. Also I have heard that there will be a 1000 sim points bonus with the game. The only reason for them to do this is for them to release special content exclusively for that expansion. By the way if your complaints are mainly about decoration objects and such, then I suggest you check out the Sims 3 online store where you can buy objects with sim points. Let me tell you, it is a better idea to buy a whole pack than to buy parts of it separately. So buy the whole pack because it will usually cost you half as much.
I believe the reason that we were ticked off with the Sims 3 was because most of us were expecting the Sims 2 with upgrades. The truth is that the Sims 3 is a completely new game, with new good points. I am so relieved that I no longer have to wait through a bunch of loading screens to get to a community lot. I'm also glad my sims can go see a movie or go to a concert. There are a lot of good things about the Sims 3. It just might take some time to find them all.

Make Way For The Sims 3

Last year I had a post on the upcoming game, The Sims 3. Well we are about two and a half weeks away from its release. This newest installment in the Sims library will be a very different experience for all Sims veterans. In the past one would have to sit through loading screens that would seem to last forever just to get to a new lot for a family outing. In the Sims 3, you will be able to walk with your family or by yourself throughout the neighborhood. There is word that you will be able to control your Sims while they are at work. This is a huge improvement from the Sims 2 where you just sat home while your sim was at work. This will allow for some very interesting possibilities with your sims' relationships. There will no doubt be some players setting up scenarios such as inter-office affairs. Also your personal relationship with our boss will be one crucial ingredient for getting a promotion.

There will only be three needs bars in this game, as opposed to the eight in the Sims 2. All the same needs will still exist, however, you won't be seeing the status of each one. Happiness will still come from the regular sources such as fulfillment of aspirations and being entertained. However, they will now com from other happenings such as getting pregnant, promotions, and other such things.

Halo v.s. Farcry: Which Is Better When It Comes To Map Editor?

More people are likely to know about the Halo Trilogy than they are about the Farcry series. This is due to Halo having everything from special controllers and headsets to collectable Mountain Dew cans. Don't get me wrong. The storyline throughout the Halo videogames is perhaps one of the best we've seen in a game since Myst came out in the 90s. Farcry on the other hand, for those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, is about Jack Carver who gets wrapped up in the middle of a CIA operation and ends up fighting a one-man war against an army of mercanaries. After about two or three levels into Farcry Instincts, Carver gets captured by a scientist who injects him with a super-soldier syrum. But Carver escapes and fights his way across the island. There is another game called Farcry Instincts: Evolution. I'm not going to get into the plotline of that because I don't want to give anything away.

So storyline is an important thing. But what about when you've beaten the game on all levels of difficulty and found all the secret objects. That's why there is multiplayer. Farcry takes it to a whole new level. Create multiplayer maps from scratch. And ladies and gentlemen, when I say from scratch, I mean from scratch. Terrain, structures, mounted weapons, spawn points, zip lines, ladders, flags, weapons, vehicles, health, upgrades, plants, time of day, and even fog.

Halo 3 was given a map editor of its own. However, all you could change was weapon, vehichle, obstacle, and upgrade placement. The only thing you could do that you couldn't do on Farcry was change the angle at which the weapon was placed. On Farcry you can only rotate the object on one plane. And then there was movie making which was a huge point scorer. But the only problem was, It wasn't a map editor. You did'nt have aenough space to get really creative except on Sandtrap, Avalanche, and Foundry. In Farcry you have more vehicles and you have access to all of them whenever you make a map. Farcry doesn't set the amount of restrictions that Halo 3 does. In order to have the best map editor, you need the least possible restrictions.

"A New Kind Of Radio"

Everyday people seem to be transfering the purposes of certain objects in everyday life and adding them to the Internet. Well thay have also done it to the radio. Of course we alredy know that Windows Media Player as well as iTunes have places where you can listen to radio stations, but here is something even better. Pandora.com calls itself the Music Genome Project, and rightly so. Type in an artists name such as Led Zeppelin and not only will it play their music, but also music similar to it in genre. Pretty cool right. Oh yeah, and you can tell it if you don't like the song or if you do like it. Pandora.com also saves your radio stations that you have created.

Legendary Map Pack

Well, I'll say one thing in general about the Heroic and Legendary Map packs for Halo 3. They make map editing a whole lot more fun. The images above are from the Legendary map pack. However if any body wants me to I will post some pictures from the Heroic Map Pack. Any way the Legendary Map Pack takes you on a journey through the history of Halo. Now normally I don't go for the remakes of maps such as that remake of blood gultch and battle creek you find in Halo 2. The reason why is that they look exactly the same except that it looks like the programers just put it through Microsoft Paint. Avalanche is a remake of the map Sidewinder, one of the best maps on the first Halo. However, it is looks like Ty Pennington came in and went crazy on it. The map is recognizable by certain distinguishable features, such as the bridge and the entrances to the bases. Amazingly it retains all of Sidewinder's glory. Supports all vehicles.

Blackout is a remake of the map, Lockout, from Halo 2. This time, instead of being located on a Forerunner structure, it is located on an oil rig in Antarctica. Not as glorious as Avalache. This is because while it really isn't very recognizable, it is pretty much the same thing. Yet if you edit the map and put some sheild doors here, a mongoose there, maybe a ghost and a double box here, then five stars. There are some features such as the basketball hoop that make the environment wonderful. Also the grav lifits have been replaced with high-powered fans. Supported Vehicles are: Mongooses and Ghosts.

Ghost Town is the last map on the Legendary Map Pack. This one is completely new and not a remake like the others. The map is located in what seems to have been a small town affected by the Covenant invasion. It makes for good editing with its unique baricades, barriers, doors, bridges, watch towers, and ramps. It would be fun to make an infection map on. Supported Vehicles are: Mongooses and Ghosts.

The Map pack also comes with a new feature to use only on these three maps. You can change the camera style to things like vintage and black and white as well as about four other types. If you are short on money I don't suggest getting them now. I did and when i found out that they would eventually be free, I regretted it. Here's my rating: *****

This is "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" by the band Aerosmith. The song is one of my personal favorites because it was used in the Micheal Bay film: Armegeddon. And we all know what a scifi nerd I am. Any way it is a great song. Still working on making it so that my viewers can down load these songs from my blog.

The Sims 3

Greetings to all players of the Sims 2. In case you haven't already heard, 2009 will bring about the coming of the third Sims game. Is this good or bad. Let's look at the good news first.

The Sims games are popular amongst people of both sexes and all ages. This new chapter in Sims history shall bring about a revolution that many of us have been waiting for. In the Sims 2 our sims were confined to their houses unless the player was willing to load into another lot. Can anybody say that that doesn't get annoying after a while? In the Sims 3, the player will be able to guide their sims through the neighborhood just by walking out the door. Yes people, the game is about to get more realistic. The details are still a bit unmapped, but it is also certain that the creating of user created sims is also about to get an upgrade.

Now for the bad news. There is also a negative about there being a new game. Now we have to not only buy the new game and possibly be forced to upgrade to Vista, but we will have to buy a whole new set of expansion packs. And this will probably happen every three to four years or so.

Overall I believe that the pros overcome the cons in this case. So I will probably end up going to get this one, and if it sucks then it's back to The Sims 2.

VIVA PINATA

Now understand that I am the kind of person who normally goes for either a shooter game (such as Halo or Farcry) or an RPG (such as Knights of the Old Republic or Assassin's Creed). But I found this game to be somewhat...well...fun. It is relaxing in a way. Also it kind of reminds me of The Sims in a way. I would suggest getting it but if you are like me, I would suggest getting it used. Just make sure the disk is in good shape. For those of you who are XBOX 360 players, the acheivements are easy to get and are 20 points each. Pretty sweet deal. I could also compare it to Zoo Tycoon.

The object of the game is to keep a garden, but no just any garden. As you go through the game, your garden becomes home to various pinata animals. However, despite how it looks on the surface, this is no Barney Land. If you are not careful in managing your garden, some pinatas might be eaten by others. Sometimes, you have to sacrifice pinatas to get new ones or for other pinatas' needs. So take a look at this game. If you don't like it, then take it back. Maybe it isn't for you.

Linguam Latinam Doceo

Hello Patrons,

Interested in learning the language of the greatest civilization in human history. Which civilization is that? Rome of course. I will be setting up a new blog soon where I shall post lessons weekly. This is an offer you won't want to decline.

Out Of My Head

Sometimes it can be hard to find the courage to stand up for what you believe in. It is especially hard when one is in highschool. School is different from the rest of the world because of the age of the students. At this point in their lives, people begin to lose control of themselves. We become reckless. But it is not this way with everyone. Some people are nice.

About half the time someone is a jerk, they aren't that way to every one. For instance there is this girl that I know who makes my life miserable. To me, she is a jerk. However, to others, she is pretty nice. I guess it can be compared to the way gangs work. yet in this case, it's the prissies agaist the nerds. It can get pretty hostile.

Transformers: 2007

Being the huge transformers fan that I am, I went to see the new movie almost as soon as it came out. I had only a handful of problems with it. The first was that Jazz died. In the G1 series, Jazz was my favorite character, so I was really put off that Megatron rips him in half. Plus, he survived in the original film, even if he spent the entire time as a prisoner of Unicron. I also thought there could have been a little more action. the first seven to ten minutes and the last thirty minutes were the way the whole movie should have been. There wasn't enough Autobot vs Decepticon battles. I mean you don't need to build up the human characters as much as they did. The first three episodes of The Transformers which totaled a time of about one hour (half the length of the movie) Did a better job developing all the characters. They should have just used those few episodes to be the model from the movie. You coould have easily replaced energon with the Cube. And you could have had some large battle at the end. Heck, the decepticons could have just used Qatar as the place to build that ship that they try and escape on at the end of episode 3. And now that i think about it, you could add the whole energon thing in with the Cube.

The movie in itself was a epic adventure. It deserves five stars. But unlike the original movie made back in 1986, this movie is not as good the second time you see it. I did love it. I even bought the two-disc special edition, but it could have been better, there could have been more fighting. This movie, even with its flaws, will be up there with some of my favorite movies. they kept true to the characters of all the Autobots, Megatron, and Starscream. I will say that Soundwave's counterpart in the movie, Frenzy, stays true to the character of Soundwave. I was thankful that he did not have tapes eject from his chest.

The Touch

This is for all you Transformers Fans out there. It seemed only appropriate when I found this online to post it on my blog.

"TILL ALL ARE ONE!"

Phones

Just got a new phone the other day. It's pretty awesome except for the fact that it didn't come with one of those micro SD memory cardsor the cable to hok the phone up to the computer. I'm going to have to get my hands on some cash in order to buy those things. I guess I shouldn't complain seeing as how I have unlimited texting now. No more counting to see if I have exceeded 50 texts, both sent and recieved. Once I'm on my own I might switch to whatever service covers the iPhone. I think that you get free internet service on it. Comment if I'm wrong.

To be honest, I've never been one for fancy music phones. A phone is a phone. It's not a TV. Having music on your phone is not mandititory. Well I guess if it is your primary portable music player then it is. A camera on your phone is not a must have feature either. I can see how having all that on your phone can beat carrying all those devices around separately. I'd love to have a super computer on my phone, but really, is it truly necessary?

BOSTON

Trying to fnd some good music to listen to? I would suggest the sweet sounds of Boston. No i am not talking about the Jazz. With four albums released and 40 original songs totheir name, Boston is THE band. In fact these guys figured out how to really rock out on the organ. The best part is that they were able top create EXTREMELY good music without drug, sex or alcholic references or even language. Songs like "Amanda" from their third album, Third Stage, address problems like dating a friend. I have to say that I was given the courage to do so because of their music. I listen to all their songs each day that I'm alive. In fact I even write to their music. I guess that means I'll have to dedicate one of my books to them. So go to iTunes or whatever download site you belong to and pick up the music of the gods today.

P.S. Boston is better than the Beatles because they were not high when they wrote their music.

Hello. I am the RAPTOR 2007. This is my blog. I am a Halo 3 player and have been online since December 25, 2007. So I suppose you could say that I'm not very experienced. I also play Guitar Hero III on live from time to time. I'm only at Medium Difficulty though. I also enjoy games such as Assasin's Creed and KOTOR. I really am pretty much anti Nintendo and I hate Playstation.

I am also a huge Tolkein and Micheal Crighton fan. I actually collect books by both authors. For Crighton I have read Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Congo, Sphere, and I am reading Timeline. I am also a HUGE fan of Jurassic Park. It is the BEST movie ever made. I have all three of them on DVD. Steven Speilberg is my favorite Director. My favorite actors are Harrison Ford, Jeff Goldblume, and Bruce Willis. Big fan of Preditor, Matrix, Terminator, and Die Hard. Live Free Die Hard, from what I was able to stomach, tainted the name of Die Hard.

I am also a big Transformers fan. i do have to admit that i do not really own but a few. Overall I favor the G1 series from the 80's. all of these can be found at youtube. I will eventually publish the link for the person who posts the episodes so that you can find all the G1 episodes with no hassel.

My Blog will have posts about all these things and more. So come on into the Raptor Nest.
